The 2008 Annual Continuing Education (ACE) Program, to be held November 7-11 in Atlanta, GA, will offer attendees exciting new courses and programs. The Annual Meeting is a unique opportunity to earn credits and continue your education with leading professionals and technicians from all over the world.
Beginning Friday morning, November 7, attendees will have the opportunity to take advantage of this program to improve their careers with more than 85 new courses, five new sub-specialty sessions, course tracks, innovative eye care workshops, and additional wet lab workshops.
Registration for the meeting will open on Monday, July 7. Be sure to register online to save $25!

JCAHPO Course Tracks
JCAHPO has identified several tracks during this year's program. Course tracks include such topics as Basic Contact Lens, Basic Ophthalmic Assisting, Basic Imaging, Intermediate Contact Lens, Intermediate Imaging, Advanced Imaging, and Surgical Assisting. Detailed information will be published in July.
Sub-Specialty Sessions
Back by popular demand are the sub-specialty sessions! This year's topics include Cataracts, Oculoplastics, AMD, Refractive, Retina, and Practice Management.
Handouts on the Web
Course handouts will be available to registrants on the JCAHPO and ATPO Web
sites beginning in October and will be accessible for approximately one month
after the meeting. You will not receive a handout when entering a classroom.
Prior to the meeting, please visit this site or www.atpo.org and login to the Online Service Center
to download the handouts you need. If additional handouts are needed during the meeting, please
utilize the business center at your hotel. Be advised that hotels typically charge a fee
for this service.
American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO)
Courses for the physicians and the exhibit hall will be located at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC). Be sure to stop by the JCAHPO/ATPO booth #4223!
Hotel Reservations
Hotel reservations must be made through the AAO Housing Bureau. The Atlanta housing list will be available to preview in May. Housing will open on June 25 to Academy members and on July 9 to non-members (ophthalmic medical personnel).

AAO Shuttle Service
Shuttle bus service will be provided for meeting attendees between most of the official AAO meeting hotels and the GWCC during meeting hours from Saturday, November 8 through Tuesday, November 11. There will be limited service on Friday, November 7! If you plan to use the AAO shuttle service, please allow PLENTY of time for travel - the shuttle buses stop at many hotels, as well as the GWCC.

The JCAHPO Bookstore will offer an expanded inventory of our latest ophthalmic
publications, JCAHPO COA, COT, and COMT Exam Study Guides, ATPO Flashcards

AAO Exhibit Hall Pass
JCAHPO and ATPO, in collaboration with the American Academy of
Ophthalmology, are offering exhibit hall passes on our registration form to allow
you a "one-stop shopping" experience!
These passes are being offered at a specially-reduced fee of $75.00 to JCAHPO
and ATPO registrants, and are good for the entire four days of the exhibit hall. The
exhibit hall is located at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC).
The exhibit hall badge will allow you to visit the world's largest exhibition of
ophthalmic technology. More than 500 companies will showcase the newest and
most innovative ophthalmic products and services, including surgical instruments,
ocular prosthetics, operating room equipment and supplies, pharmaceuticals, and
physician and patient education materials. Other exhibitors will showcase
products and services related to practice management, such as office/facility
design and furnishings, intercoms and answering systems, market research,
computer systems, and equipment finance and leasing.

Tom Sullivan will be back by popular demand as the 2008 Harold A. Stein Lecture speaker! Using themes from his book "Adventures in Darkness," Tom will once again address the power of positive thinking and the keys to overcoming personal and professional adversity.
