Study guides are designed to help candidates prepare for certification exams at the COA, COT, and COMT levels.
CLAO Home Study Course for Contact Lens Technicians
This course, developed by the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists (CLAO), provides basic-to-intermediate-level training in contact lens fitting.
JCAHPO Low Vision Self-Study Course
The course includes the Lighthouse Manual, Refinements Module 34 titled "Rehabilitation of the Low Vision Patient," and a 50-question examination. The answer sheet may be completed and submitted to JCAHPO for credit.
AAOE/JCAHPO Ophthalmic Coding Specialist Examination
JCAHPO and the American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE) partnered in development of this examination covering 18 topics related to ophthalmic coding. The examination may be completed and returned to JCAHPO for credit.
