Welcome to the newly developed website for the Consortium of Ophthalmic Training Programs (better known as COTP).

The revival of our website has been a long time in coming and it’s an honor to be writing the inaugural welcome message.

We have great plans to make this a very functional and useful website for both our training program members as well as those seeking information regarding ophthalmic training programs throughout North America and beyond. Future plans include members only access to an FTP (file transfer protocol) site where we can all share course materials, handouts, test banks , etc. that others may find valuable in either starting new programs or to simply improve existing courses. Part of our organization’s purpose is to promote the growth of training programs and this will be an excellent way to accomplish our goal.

COTP is a 501(c)(3) non- profit organization comprised of accredited training program directors and delegates at all three levels of JCAHPO certification. It was established in 1994 and holds one membership meeting per year during the annual AAO/JCAHPO national meeting.

We welcome suggestions for ways to improve and expand the website in ways that will be useful to members and guests. I hope you will visit the site often and provide us with feedback on how we can best serve your needs.
