ATPO

Join us for the 28th Annual ATPO Scientific Session program. Included with your ATPO registration are: Cutting-edge 30-minute presentations, breakfast and lunch on Saturday and lunch on Sunday.

Ophthalmic medical technicians who are registered for the Scientific Session and Grand Rounds Package will have the opportunity to attend "Who Wants to be a Super Tech." This fun and exciting game show features questions from all areas of the JCAHPO certification examination content. All levels of difficulty will be covered by the questions.

ATPO’s Grand Rounds are back!

Cases will be presented in various ophthalmology sub-specialties and the audience will be invited to participate in determining the cause(s) and possible outcome(s).

This format follows the instructional methods established in U.S. medical schools and ophthalmology residency training programs, and requires that the audience exercise deductive reasoning and critical thinking.

Attendees stay in one classroom for the two days and the instructors come to you! It’s a great value with exceptional education and food. Be sure to register early – space is limited!

Certification Exam Review Sessions

ATPO offers both Written and Practical Certification Review Sessions to help attendees prepare for the COA, COT, and COMT examinations.

The Written Review Sessions provide attendees with a general review of content areas covered on the exams. It does not provide test questions or any specifics about the exam – it only reviews content. The Q & A opportunities in these sessions have been found to be very helpful by past attendees.

ATPO also hosts COT and COMT Practical Review Sessions. During the COT Sessions, each individual has their own computer and works with simulation very similar to what is used in the actual JCAHPO COT Exam. The COMT Practical has work stations and expert volunteers to assist participants in each skill area. The one-on-one interaction in both the COT and COMT has been found to be very helpful.

Testimonials

"The ATPO Scientific Session is an opportunity to learn about up and coming technology, techniques and medication without wandering all over the building. The speakers are exceptional and eager to share their knowledge. The information regarding the astronauts returning from the space station was startling. I hope you keep bringing us breaking news and information that cannot be found in general ophthalmology books, that we can take back and share with physicians and patients."
