“OD or OS: Which One is Right?” – James Ford McDonnell, MD

Ophthalmologist and celebrity personality James Ford McDonnell, MD, will present the Harold A. Stein Lecture at JCAHPO’s 2010 Annual Continuing Education (ACE) Program, on Sunday, October 17th.

His presentation, “OD or OS: Which One is Right?”, will focus on the nutritional and overall health of the ophthalmic patient. In Dr. McDonnell’s view, ophthalmic personnel need more comprehensive information from patients than mere refraction measurements and K- or B-scans. The lecture will illustrate how the gathering of this information can improve the overall quality of life for patients. Using his comedic background, Dr. McDonnell will draw reference anecdotes from his own practice experience to illustrate how OMP can better serve the ophthalmologist and the patient.
